Residential Land Development – Wastewater Plant Project
Residential Development
Residential Land Development – Wastewater Plant Project
The land developer wanted to construct more than one hundred homes on residential sized lots. The property was not serviced with infrastructure including sewer pipelines and the municipality required the construction of an on-site wastewater treatment plant to treat the domestic wastes as a condition of property development. After an extensive evaluation and selection process, Seprotech Systems Inc. was chosen to supply a ROTORDISK® wastewater treatment plant.
Mine Site Wastewater Treatment Project
Mining Camp
Mine Site Wastewater Treatment Project
The mining company operating a camp in the Northwest Territories had a requirement for a wastewater treatment plant. The governmental authorities apply very strict environmental standards in Northern Canada and it was critical to have a system that would ensure that a high wastewater effluent standard could be consistently maintained. The plant would also have to operate under extremely cold arctic weather conditions. Temperatures are often well below 60C. The mining camp supports several hundred personnel.
Shipboard Water Treatment
Canadian Navy
Shipboard Water Treatment
The Canadian Forces operate their Naval Frigates around the world under extreme and demanding operational conditions. Each frigate has a starboard and port desalination plant that produces drinking water and general-purpose water for the ship. The drinking water standards for the Canadian Navy are very high and it is essential that, with deployments as far as the Persian Gulf, an adequate and reliable supply of high quality water is available.
Municipal Tertiary Wastewater Treatment Project
City of Ottawa
Municipal Tertiary Wastewater Treatment Project
The receiving body of water for this plant is the Rideau River. The Rideau River is deemed to be a Policy 2 watercourse in the province of Ontario and therefore wastewater effluent plant discharge standards are extremely rigorous. The Ontario Ministry of Environment (MOE) issued a certificate of approval for the facility specifying a tertiary quality discharge standard. In addition, the regulator established a Phosphorus discharge standard of 0.03 mg/l which is the tightest effluent discharge standard ever.
Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Project
South Woodslee
Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Project
This town in Essex County in Southern Ontario is located in beautiful and pristine countryside. The area is home to older communities, many of which have either outdated wastewater treatment plants or have homes with poorly operating septic systems. The construction of new homes in South Woodslee combined with increasingly stringent wastewater discharge standards, required the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant for the community.
Industrial & Automotive Process Equipment
Automotive Plant
Industrial & Automotive Process Equipment
This 'Big Three' automaker was spending large amounts of money on chemicals required to neutralize and treat alkaline bath water in the automotive manufacturing process. In addition to the cost of the chemicals, the treated wastewater was not being re-used in the factory thereby incurring further costs.
